At the 2024 National Leadership Summit, SAS members will enjoy a comprehensive and enrich gin experience. Sample Itenerary
Day 1: December 30 – Arrival and Orientation
- Morning: Arrive in Charlotte, check into your hotel.
- Afternoon: Welcome dinner and orientation session. Introduce the summit’s goals, speakers, and itinerary.
- Evening: Free time to explore Uptown Charlotte or enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. [If no welcome dinner at hotel]
Day 2: December 31 – Leadership Development and Cultural Experience
- Morning: Leadership workshop focused on [specific leadership topic, e.g., team building, conflict resolution].
- Afternoon: Visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame to learn about leadership in the sports industry.
- Evening: Attend a Charlotte Hornets basketball game. [NBA schedule to be released mid-August]
Day 3: January 1 – Community Engagement and College Experience
- Morning: Volunteer opportunity with a local non-profit organization. [Nourish Up]
- Afternoon: Tour the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) campus, including a visit to the College of Business or a relevant academic department or speak to the admissions office.
- Evening: Networking dinner with local business leaders.
Day 4: January 2 – Sports and Leadership
- Morning: Workshop on sports leadership and teamwork.
- Afternoon: Tour the Bank of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers, and learn about the business side of sports.
- Evening: Gala dinner and awards ceremony. [Awards ceremony if this was the EOY event]
Day 5: January 3 – Departure and Reflection
- Morning: Departure and group reflection on the summit experience.
- Afternoon: Free time for shopping or additional exploration before departure

Frequently Asked Questions
All lodging is included for registered participants! We take care of any and all lodging accommodations while you’re on the trip, so that you don’t have to worry about a thing.
While student-athletes are fully supervised and are allowed to travel alone, parents are welcome (and encouraged) to participate. Parents (adult supervisors) will have the option to enroll with their student athlete after the student athlete’s registration.
We’ll be sure to send you information and pricing, accommodations, planning, etc. for parents will be the same as student athletes. *Please note- Non-Adult Supervisors (Under the age of 18) are not allowed as a registered participant of the trip in any fashion. This includes siblings and friends. Each athlete is allowed 2 adult supervisor to attend the trip.
Yes! Student Athletes are welcome to travel to the SAS London Educational Trip without an accompanying family member.
You must bring an updated valid PhotoID (Drivers License/State ID) and your updated valid passport. This is essential to making sure that you have a great trip and no hiccups.

The bookings SAS makes for flights, accommodations, match tickets, academy trainings, live games, and more are nonrefundable to SAS, so because of this, we cannot offer cancellation insurance, but rather a cancellation timeline.
If you have to cancel or plans change for any reason, please keep in mind the timeline below.
– 50% refundable if canceled 12 weeks prior to departure
– 25% refundable if canceled 8 weeks prior to departure
– Non-refundable for cancellations made inside of 2 months prior to departure
