Celebrating 2025 SAS Graduate N’Gai Washington Natson: A Journey From Academics to Athletics

N’Gai Washington Natson, an embodiment of perseverance and dedication, is set to graduate as a part of the prestigious Student Athlete Scholars (SAS) class of 2025.

 

SAS, a merit-based society, sets the stage for high-performing student-athletes to flourish to their maximum potential by equipping them with tools, strategies, and mentorship to gain admission into top-ranked colleges. A testament to the success of the Society’s endeavors is Natson who has secured admissions into reputed colleges including Cal Poly Humboldt, Howard University, Fresno State, Biola University, and Morehouse College.

 

Navigating the challenging corridors of academia and rigorous athletic schedules, Natson has consistently proven that he is multi-dimensional and capable of achieving excellence across various fields. His contribution to community-building, service, and leadership has been remarkable. He has poured his heart into numerous initiatives, namely the Hidden Genius Project, demonstrating his future-focused orientation towards a career in technology and media.

 

Serving as Vice President of the College Bound Academy for two years, N’Gai demonstrated significant leadership skills, organizing events to support his peers throughout their college preparations. His voluntary work spans from the St. Vincent de Paul to the Lean a Hand Foundation, where he has continuously demonstrated his commitment to community service. Furthermore, his involvement with Youth Beats Radio and Loop Events, aimed at raising awareness about childhood hunger, showcases his versatile interests and deeply ingrained social consciousness.

 

With a degree in Communication and Journalism in sight, he plans to specialize in Broadcast and Multimedia. His career aspirations are rooted in his childhood. His initial love for storytelling through games has evolved into a profound interest in sports communication. He plans to use this platform to amplify diverse voices and make a difference in society. His journey is a testament to an SAS scholar’s journey from a local student to a global change-maker.

 

SAS is not merely about accumulation and application of knowledge learned in textbooks. It extends to mentorship, leadership, building communities, and molding personalities to make an impact in the outside world.
