In line with the long standing tradition of SAS (Student Athlete Scholars) to celebrate our meritorious scholars, we shine the spotlight today on Conor Moran, a graduating SAS senior for class 2025. Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, Moran is more than your average student athlete. His commitment on and off the field embodies the core values of SAS, which aims to reward high-performing scholar-athletes that represent the very best in their state and nation.
Conor Moran, a senior at Calvert Hall College High School in Towson, Maryland, has been an exemplary student-athlete throughout his time at the school. He has decided to continue his academic and athletic journey at Salisbury University, where he will be playing soccer, his passion since the age of four, and studying business.
Through SAS, Moran has found much more than a recognition of his achievements. He has unearthed a mentorship network of like-minded student athletes, guidance in application strategies specific for athletes with strong academics, and a platform that encourages community-building, service, and leadership.
Embarking on his college applications journey, Moran availed the opportunity to interact with other student-athlete scholars who had made successful entries into their top schools, winning great scholarships. These interactions provided a roadmap of what to expect, right from application tips to strategies on balancing academics, sports, and avoiding burnout.
Another hallmark of SAS is its emphasis on community service and leadership. SAS encourages athletes like Moran to be dedicated contributors to their community.
