Celebrating the Outstanding Achievements of Calista Harries – A Glimpse into SAS Class of 2025

SAS, acronym for Student Athlete Scholars, takes tremendous pride in honoring its Class of 2025 graduating senior, Calista Harries. As a merit-based society, we are dedicated to recognizing uniquely talented student-athletes who excel not only in the sporting fraternity but also in the academic field. These students embody the principle of balance: mastering the challenges of maintaining high academic achievements while engaging actively in sports.

Among this distinguished group, Weston, Florida resident Calista Harries, stands out as an epitome of scholarly brilliance and athletic prowess, posing an inspiring illustration for other ambitious students.

Through her high school years, Calista has audaciously confronted academic hurdles, participating in the revered Excelsior Scholars Program. With a heightened fascination for science and mathematics, she upped the ante by tackling Advanced Placement in Biology and Chemistry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus Dual Enrollment, and Honors Calculus. Additionally, she indulged her commitment towards academia by maintaining active status in several honor societies.

Outside her rigorous academic routine, Calista retained her focus on crafting a healthcare career, which led her to valuable programs such as the Cleveland Clinic Summer Scholar and Mercer University Pharmacy Scholar. These notable endeavors provide her with a critical exposure to her future career field and help shape her decision for the best fitting medical specialty.

Despite the tremendous academic and career-building pursuits, Calista remained active in extracurricular activities. She committed herself to year-round club swimming and high school varsity team swimming, exhibiting the qualities of a dedicated athlete. Beyond sports, she rendered significant community service to the National Voices for Equality, Education, and Enlightenment programs.

While juggling multiple interests, Calista aspires to a career in the sciences, envisioning a future perhaps in biology, chemistry, or pharmacy. Her relentless pursuit of her dreams is an inspiration to her fellow SAS graduates and sends a strong message of resilience and determination.

Calista’s graduation represents SAS’s mission: to aid high-achieving students in gaining admission to their desired colleges. Her journey is testament that through mentorship, effective application strategies, community service, and leadership, one can effectively balance grades, sports, and admissions applications.

Calista embodies the SAS spirit – a true testament to the concept of a Student Athlete Scholar. As we celebrate her graduation, we also celebrate the potential of our members to continually break new ground in their chosen fields while contributing significantly to their communities. Congratulations, Class of 2025!
